4.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️+
With the carb-loving holidays quickly approaching, this book offers some timely alternatives to help offset all that we are about to endure (you know what I'm talking about!)
This features some really yummy-looking snacks to indulge on like muffins, dips, snack bars, cookies, smoothies, coffees, truffles, fat bombs (IKR?) and homemade chocolates and nut butters.
Each recipe includes allergen warning icons, a clear list of ingredients with respective measurements, nutritional facts, yield, how long it keeps, and almost all include a visual professional image.
I’m excited to try some of these, like the chocolate avocado truffles! I already have or use many of these ingredients after having cut out sugars years ago and am always looking for new ideas to curb my hankerings.
I can’t speak to whether or not these recipes are “quick and easy” but they seem to be reasonable. I think it will vary by snack, but nothing homemade is going to be as quick as a ready-to-eat store-bought snack stuffed full of sugar and preservatives. Just my 2C.
Thank you to NetGalley, Quarto Publishing Group, and authors Martina Slajerova, Landria Voigt C.H.H.C., and Dana Carpender for this ARC in exchange for an honest review!
